Obituary of Dwane J Hurlburt

Dwane J. Hurlburt, Sr. N. Granville, NY – Dwane J Hurlburt, age 64, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at his home, following a long illness. Dwane was born on February 20, 1954 in Whitehall, NY the son of the late Lucius and Tressa (Holcomb) Hurlburt. He worked for many years as a groundskeeper at the Equinox Country Club. He enjoyed fishing and playing horseshoes, both of which might have been accompanied by a few beers. He was happy, full of fun and loved life. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Lyle and a niece. He is survived by his two sons Lyle Hurlburt (Sue) and Dwane "DJ" Hurlburt, Jr. (Kari) all of Whitehall. He was blessed with eight grandchildren. His memory will be cherished by his siblings Lucius Jr. of Victory Mills, Gary and his wife Peggy of Fort Edward, Edwin and his wife Diane of Glens Falls, Ronny and his wife Calda of W. Pawlet, VT, Judy McKinney of Granville, and Joan Ballard (Eddie) of North Granville. He is also survived by his nieces, Candy Hurlburt of North Granville, with whom he lived for the past six years, Penny Mattison of Granville and Theresa Picou of Middle Granville.
