Walter G. White Granville, NY – Walter Gordon "Wally" White, age 77, passed away on September 5, 2018 at Granville Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation following a short illness. Wally was born on August 12, 1941 in Hubbardton, VT the son of Ralph and Lucy (Beam) White Sr. He was a 1959 graduate of Whitehall High School where he played football, basketball, baseball and track. He was employed for many years at Telescope Casual Furniture in Granville. He loved horse racing, both attending at the track and OTB. He bowled for several years. Wally was a Dodgers fan and became an avid ice hockey fan after attending Red Wing games. He was predeceased by his wife Darlene White in 2010. He was also predeceased by his siblings Robert and Carroll White, Patricia Lane, Dorothy Langlois, and Ann White. Wally is survived by his children Joseph White (Cindy) of Comstock and Linda White Chanaka of Monmouth, NJ. He was blessed with three grandchildren Jillian, Karmony, and Damien. Wally is survived by his siblings: Ralph Jr. of N. Granville, David White (Robin) of Hebron, Carl White and his companion Abigail of Whitehall, Donald White, Diane Bassett (Jeffrey) of Whitehall, Shirley Bourn (Guy) of Granville as well as many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 4pm at the Robert M King Funeral Home, 23 Church St. Granville, NY Friends may call from 2pm until the time of the service.
