Obituary of Joy Lynn Neumann

Joy L. Neumann Whitehall, NY – Joy Lynn Neumann, age 60, passed away at the Granville Center of Nursing and Rehabilitation on September 8, 2018. Joy was born on January 19, 1958 in Glens Falls, NY the daughter of Frederick and Fay (Rozelle) Neumann. She was a proud Air Force veteran. Joy formerly worked as a travel agent. She loved traveling, which brought her to become a passionate Red Cross volunteer for 37 years. She was ready to go, whenever and wherever she was needed. Within her chest beat a heart of gold, and she loved serving mankind. She felt the value in bringing others happiness far exceeded monetary values. She and her husband Steve enjoyed their home in Whitehall. She fancied herself a farmer raising her free-range chickens. She also loved cooking and baking. She was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband Steve Hatfield and her children Renita Fish (Billy) of Whitehall and Jeffrey Dorvee (Shannon of Queensbury. She was blessed with three grandchildren Tyler and Landon Dorvee, and Scarlett Fish. She will also be missed by her siblings Raymond of Whitehall, Robert (Theresa) of Lake George, Cheryl Lauhon of Westminster, Colorado, Rick of Whitehall and Lisa Brown of Lake George. A funeral service will be held on September 20, 2018at 11 AM at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY.
