Mary Rickard Hebron/Staten Island - Mary Rickard, age 79, of Brooklyn, N.Y, passed away on Friday, September 21st, 2018 at Staten Island University Hospital. Mary was born on June 5th, 1939 in Raleigh, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Wright and Mildred (Paige) Rickard. Mary was a devout Jehovah's Witness for the past 50 years. Most of those years were spent in Brooklyn, New York at the East Brooklyn congregation. Friends of the congregation will remember her as a kind, loving, and generous person. She hardly ever said no when someone was in need. Mary is survived by her daughters Alfreda Singh and Elisha Rickard; grandchildren Venus Singh, Erica Singh, Lydia Singh, Joseph Chaudhry, and Elani Rodriguez. She also had many beautiful great grandchildren, 7 in total. Mary came from a large family. 6 sisters and 2 brothers and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville on Saturday, September 29th at 4pm. The elders of the Granville congregation will be officiating the memorial service.
