Obituary of Veronica Lesko

Veronica Margaret Lesko (Kuruc) Trumbull, CT - Veronica Margaret Lesko (Kuruc), age 102, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 1, 2018. She was born on June 8, 1916 in Granville, NY the daughter of Michael and Anna (Sima) Kuruc. Veronica moved to Bridgeport, CT at the age of 13 where she lived with her brother and completed her education at Warren G. Harding High School. It was also in Bridgeport where she met and married the love of her life, Vincent Lesko, Sr. She was employed by Horberg Grinding Industries, Inc., for 30 years. Upon retiring to Wilmington, VT and Fort Myers, FL, Veronica and Vincent spent time with their family and enjoyed their marriage that lasted 74 years. Veronica is survived by her three children, Ronald Lesko, Sr. and his wife Peggy of Trumbull, Vincent Lesko, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Milford and Carole Scheib and her husband Bill of Loudonville, NY. She will be remembered and honored by her nine grandchildren and their spouses: Ron Lesko Jr., Amy and Joseph Manfredi, Sue and AJ Grasso, Jeff and Michelle Lesko, Amy and Russ Krom, Jodi and Sean Wolf, Bridget and John Hubal, Thomas and Kerri Scheib, Michael and Lilit Scheib as well as her fourteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Veronica will be cherished and celebrated as a shining light who illuminated and nurtured the lives of her loved ones and friends with her love and faith in God. She will be remembered by her favorite phrase "The Lord Will Provide". The family would like to express sincere appreciation for the wonderful help and care given by the entire staff at Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center of Fairfield, CT. Calling hours will be at held at the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church Street, Granville, NY on Monday October 8th from 10:00am to 11:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 23 Bulkley Ave.,Granville at 12:00pm and burial will follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
