Obituary of Vitalia Antonette McEckron

Vitalia "Vita" A. McEckron Granville, NY – Vitalia A. McEckron, age 60 of North Granville, passed away peacefully at Glens Falls Hospital after a long illness with her family by her side. Vita was born in Amsterdam, New York on September 10, 1958 the daughter of Alexander and Margaret (Brennan) Andrzyewski. She was a 1977 graduate of Amsterdam High School and lived in the Amsterdam area until 1987, when she moved to Granville. She was employed at General Electric in Rutland, Vermont until the onset of her illness. The center of her universe was her husband Ray whom she married on September 12, 1981. Her moon and stars were her sons Raymond and David. Family was everything to Vita. She was predeceased by her parents, her in-laws Ray and Shirley McEckron, a sister Mary Graham and a brother Pat Andrzyewski. Left to miss her is her beloved husband Raymond McEckron, Jr, her sons, her sister Ace and brothers Tom (Eileen) and Wayne (Betty), her brother and sister in-laws and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Noon at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 23 Bulkley Ave., Granville, NY with the Rev. Joseph Arockiasamy. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Middle Granville. Friends may call from 10 – 11:30 at Robert M King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville, NY on Tuesday, October 16, 2018.
