OUR DONALD STORY
It's been almost 30 years that you came into our lives,
That gentle smile, head of hair, married to Barbara, the Queen Guinevere of wives.
You both embraced Kevin and Alyssa, as if they were your own,
Extremely blessed to have you in their lives, to watch them as they've grown.
So many fond memories, such as driving them in your truck & getting it cleaned,
Alyssa really had so much fun, she'd always come home & beamed.
Kevin recalls being in your condo & the wild/crazy times they had with you acting like a big kid,
Barbara would worry if they were too riled up...no problem at all..for making people smile & laugh is what you did.
Gosh so many good, wonderful, cherished times the six of us had through the years,
Celebrating birthdays, dressing up Civil War, singing, dancing, sharing laughs, sometimes even tears.
How shy you were to play your guitar & sing for us, House of the Rising Sun is what you did play,
We were all so amazed, especially when you told us you taught yourself just by hearing, it was great in every way.
Taking the kids to visit Gallahad and of course Medieval Times...oh what a treat,
"Smoochies" "Foo-ka-la-ka-chim-ba", flying monkey, telling silly jokes, making brownies you loved to eat.
We could truly go on because you were so loved, bringing joy & times we will cherish with each passing day,
Forever keeping you in our prayers, heart, & spirit...Donald you were an inspiration to us all, we wouldn't have wanted you any other way. Heaven is now lucky to have you above, singing with the angels, giving praise, and sharing in HIS glory..
You will NEVER be forgotten, we love you Donald, this is OUR DONALD STORY.
Love you TTM&B4ever,,,,Barbara, Kevin & Alyssa

My dear friend Donald is gone too soon. A neighbor, a friend, my buddy in camp with the 15th New York Vol. Cavalry. Your serenading guitar in the evening will be sorely missed, along with your joking and companionship at so many events that we went to.
I know you were reluctant at times to play your guitar, but everyone appreciated your gifted talent. When you were not able to be in camp the evening was not the same. I remember the membership saying were is Don this evening with his guitar for a good evening sing along. My best evening that I can remember was at a Brickhouse event where during the battle you were hit with a tomato and I will leave it there.........Those who were present know why. That evening, we gathered all of our talent with you (lead guitar) Tom and Paul for a great evening as our spirits were well tuned!
Thank you Don, for the great memories!!!
You also touched my family in so many ways. Taking the kids for a ride in your truck. Barb and you taking them to Medieval Times. And the kindness and loving way you would watch over them when my Barbara and I would go out.
Thank you Don for being part of our family!!

Ah Lance, our dear friend you will be sorely missed. You were a great friend and a very loving husband to our dear friend Sammie. I still laugh at the time you and Sammie came down to the boat her with her hot rollers and Bob and telling Sammie she had to conserve electric and water. What fun we had. I cherish the times we spent together with Bob talking your ears off and you taking everything in stride. You were truly one of the good guys always ready to help I still have the walking stick with St Anthony’s prayer engraved on the handle that you made my mom.
You will forever remain in our hearts.
Sammie, May God give him eternal rest. A good soul has ascended to heaven. May you find strength to bear this great pain.
