Obituary of Thomas F. Fleming

Thomas F. Fleming Granville, NY – Thomas F. Fleming,72, passed away on Tuesday, March 26,2019 at The Pines at Glens Falls Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation following a brief illness. He was born on October 17, 1946 in Granville, the son of Frank and Doris (Wilson) Fleming. Tom graduated from Granville High School and Albany Business College. Following his graduation, he enlisted into the United State Army. He was employed at General Electric as a cost accountant for 30 years before his retirement. Following his retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling to many places. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, but most of all, his time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren will forever be in their memories. He was a member of the American Legion Post #323 in Granville. He and his wife were members of the Pine Knolls Alliance Church of South Glens Falls. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his granddaughter, Jennifer Rupe. Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Frieda I. (Howard) Fleming of Granville, Christopher (Sarah) Fleming of Hoosick Falls, Kevin Clark of North Hampton, MA, Tracy Rupe (Rod) of Granville and Tammy (John) Saputo, his four grandchildren: Tonya Bushee, Aiden Fleming, Addison Fleming, Nicholas Johnson and one great-grandson Jace Johnson. His is also survived by his sister Elaine (Dick) Tinsley of Ocala, FL and their children: Lori, Lisa, Scott and Amy. Service will be conducted on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 12:00 PM at the Robert M King Funeral Home, 23 Church Street, Granville with Pastor Steven VanDixhorn of the Pine Knolls Alliance Church of South Glens Falls officiating. Friends may call on the family from 10 AM until the time of the service on Saturday. Burial will be at a later date at Elmwood Cemetery in Middle Granville with full military honors. The family suggests that memorial contributions in Tom's memory go to either the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Albany, NY 12110 or to the Pine Knolls Alliance Church, 614 Gansevoort Rd.
