I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to meet Mrs. Button and share a meal or two with her. She always wore a smile and spoke with such warmth and grace. I remember the time when I commented on Rosemary's photo of Queen Elizabeth, knowing that she was an avid Anglophile. After a confused pause, Rosemary responded, "That's my mother!" The comparison between Mrs. Button and the Queen seemed apropos, however, both physically and temperamentally. I wish the entire broad circle of Mrs. Button's family, especially her loyal and constant caregiver Rosemary, much peace and healing during this difficult time.
