Obituary of John Franklin Wade

John F. Wade Jr. Granville, NY – John Franklin Wade, Jr., age 69, passed away at Glens Falls Hospital on April 1, 2017. John was born on March 1, 1948 in Cambridge, New York, the son of the late John and Mae (Tyrell) Wade Sr. John was retired from Telescope Casual Furniture in Granville where he worked for 43 years. Telescope was his first place of employment and his last. John was frequently seen riding his bicycle throughout the community. A pastime which he enjoyed. He loved feeding the birds and squirrels in his neighborhood every morning. He was such a trusted friend to the squirrels they would actually take peanuts right from his hand. John loved watching westerns on television. John and Bonnie raised their granddaughters. He never viewed this as a burden but did so with pure love and joy. They brightened his world every day. John had a love of life and people. John was predeceased by his parents and his siblings William and Patricia. Survivors are the love of his life, Bonnie (Munger) Wade and his daughter Erika Wade of Glens Falls. He was blessed with two granddaughters Autum and Alexia. He is also survived by his son-in-law, good friend and father of his grandchildren, James Bradish of Granville and his wife Jessica. John is survived by nine of his siblings: Dorothy, Bernard, Mary, Robert, Harold, Charlotte, Rosie, Porsche and Benjamin. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 1 PM at the Robert M King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville, NY with the Pastor Wayne Ferguson presiding. Friends may call from 11 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Mettowee Cemetery in Granville, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions, memorials may be made to Glens Falls National Bank, 8646 State Route 22, Granville, NY 12832 for his granddaughters.
