Dorothy C. Matteson Granville, NY – Dorothy C. Matteson, age 70, passed away at Glens Falls Hospital on November 3-, 2021. Dorothy was born on May 31, 1951, in Glens Falls, NY the daughter of the late George and Dorothy Monroe Matteson. Dorothy was a Granville resident for her entire life. She enjoyed pow-wows with her friends Sheila and Delburt. She loved spending time at her camp. Cuddling with her canine best friends watching westerns was a favorite pastime. She also always looked forward to visits from her best friend Pat Morse from Herkimer, NY. She was predeceased by her parents, and siblings Gene, Jerry, and Edward Matteson and Carol VanGuilder and Noreen Clark. Dorothy is survived by 2 sons: David and Gene Benway and 2 daughters: Billie-Jo Benway and Wendy Corey. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Left to cherish her memory are her siblings: Mike Matteson of Hartford, NY, Janet Lorenzo of Calabash, NC and Lillian Matteson of Granville, NY.
