Uncle Bill,
My memories of uncle Bill were of my younger year's. Like many in that time, families seemed to stay close and seldom drifted apart. The good ol' days as they say. Perhaps it was my innocent and unaware knowledge, but man, life seemed so much simpler. Growing up with cousins, uncle's and aunts close by just seemed normal, seemed right. Though I personally was not really brought up as a Christian believer, uncle Bill somehow seemed to instill Christian values in me that I wouldn't understand until my older years. He was a very proud man, stern but understanding. They say the light of life shines within but for him it shined through. In some ways, I wholehearted believe he helped shape my life, even as a child who couldn't possibly understand at the time. As a grown man today, I know I'll never be half the man he was. But that's ok, we all walk our own path leading the way only by example and leaving behind the memories and knowledge to those left behind. Uncle Bill, thank you for the better understanding of the one thing we all seek to find. The secret to life.. It's not gold, and treasures are redeemed worthless when one finds the holy spirit. Through self-worth, love and faith the "poorest" of us all become the richest. I know God is going to spoil you in ways many may never get the opportunity to cherish. You've earned it, you've been a devoted father, son, brother, husband, uncle and Christian man as far back as I can remember. Stay proud uncle Bill, until we meet again. And thank you for the inspiration and better understanding of what we are really here for. You were a true blessing to us all, and for that we are grateful. God bless
Your nephew, Joshua

To all of my cousins, George, Jeff, Billy, Janeda, Lisa, Brandi, Becky, and Kendra, my heart goes out to you and your families. Please know that I am a call or text away and am with you in my heart. I am praying for comfort and peace for each of you. I loved your dad very much and my heart is broken. I have soooooo many memories. One of my fondest was standing next to Uncle Billy in church and listening to him sing and worship God. He had a strong, deep voice and sang beautifully. His smile was contagious. He has witnessed to so many through the years. Driving the church bus around several towns picking up so many people....mostly kids!! Having several of kiddos spend the night at his home on Saturday nights, while our heathen parents were out partying LOL, just so we would be in church on Sunday morning. He told every doctor and nurse that he has ever come in contact with about Jesus. And, so many of his family, friends, and coworkers will be in heaven one day, because he allowed God to work through him!! As for me personally, I am eternally grateful for him introducing me to Jesus!!! I still have the bible that I received at my baptism when I was 7 years old. My most recent memory was the 4th of July shindig. There's nothing like watching your 3 year old granddaughter talking to her 85 year old great-great uncle. She was so intrigued by him and kept going to his side. It made my heart melt!!!! I'm glad that I got to thank him in person for his dedication and obedience to God and that it was because of that obedience that MY children and grandchildren know the Lord. Uncle Billy.....you will truly be missed!! Enjoy your reward!!!! Matthew 25:21
