Obituary of Russel Edward Bronson

Russel E. Bronson, Jr. Granville, NY – Russel E. Bronson, Jr, age 88, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Rutland Regional Medical Center. Russel was born on February 2, 1929 in Liberty, NY the son of Russel E. and Ruth (Lamberton) Bronson. Rus worked for the D & H railroad for more than 30 years. He was a signal maintainer. He was a proud veteran of the Korean, serving the Army. Rus loved fishing and hunting. If he was indoors, westerns were a favorite form of entertainment whether it was on tv or reading a Louie L'amour novel. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Marshall, a sister Helen Kovaleski and by his wife Janice (2006). Survivors are his children Harol Holcomb (Fred) of M. Granville, Jerilee Roberts (Dan) of Granville and Russel Bronson (Connie) of Granville. He was blessed with seven grandchildren: Michelle, Matthew, Freddie, Brian, Jason, Tim and Johnathon, 25 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Rus was also survived by a brother William Bronson (Connie) of PA and a sister Frances Pugh of Clifton Park. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 7 PM at the Robert M King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville, NY. Friends may call from 5 until the time of the service.
