Obituary of Patricia Marie Wimley

Patricia M. Wimley Danby, VT – Patricia Marie Wimley, age 66, passed away at Rutland Regional Medical Center on December 22, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Pat was a graduate of Granville High School in Granville, NY. She became a licensed nursing assistant. She was employed by Manchester Health Services and for many years was affectionately known as "Pat the nurse" at Manchester Elementary School. Afterwards, she was a traveling caregiver in the Northshire area. Pat enjoyed boating on Lake St. Catherine, flower gardening and fast cars. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Richard Wimley of Danby and her mother Marie Daly of Wells. She is also survived by her three children: Jennifer Louden of Danby, Doug Williams of Wells, VT and Melissa Wimley of Colonie, NY. She was blessed with eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by her brother Mick Daly of Wells, in addition to many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her father Arthur Daly and a brother Tim Daly. Her last two days at Rutland Regional, her room was filled to standing room only with family and friends and was a testament to their love for her. Her family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the nurses and doctors who gave her such wonderful care. Friends may call on Saturday, January 6th , 2017 from 1-3 PM at the Robert M King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville, NY.
