Obituary of Rebecca Lessard

Rebecca L. Lessard Poultney, Vermont – Rebecca Lynn (Mead) Lessard, age 32, loving wife, daughter and dear friend to all, went into the loving arms of her Lord on December 14, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Rebecca grew up in Salem, New York, where she graduated from high school, after which she attended Adirondack Community College. Shortly following, Rebecca met and married the love of her life, Shawn Lessard. She loved and adored her fur babies, Domi and Molly. Her hobbies included music, knitting and posting make-up tutorials on You Tube. Rebecca was very active in several churches throughout the years serving in music and children's ministry. No matter what challenge she was facing, Rebecca had a smile on her face, and a kind and encouraging word for others. Rebecca is survived by her parents Michael and Deborah Mead of Granville and her husband of twelve years, Shawn Lessard of Poultney, Vt. She also leaves behind many other family members who love her deeply. Rebecca loved the Lord with all her heart and expressed how excited she was to go to heaven and see Jesus. She would encourage us all to go on living and loving each other unconditionally. A Celebration of Rebecca's life will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Granville Assembly of God Church on Bulkley Ave. at 1PM with the Rev. William Steinmetz leading the service. In lieu of flowers donations to the Hope Lodge, 237 East Avenue, Burlington, VT 05401-3412. are encouraged.
