Obituary of Linda Jane Mason

Linda J. Mason Wells, VT – Linda J. Mason, age 71, passed away on December 28, 2017 at Rutland Regional Medical Center in Rutland. Linda was born on December 17, 1946 in Granville, New York the daughter of the late Leslie and Fannie (Clark) Smith. Linda was a loving, caring and unselfish woman. She attended Sunday School and church with her family when she was small, and always cared a deep love of God with her throughout her life. Her family remembered her ability to memorize bible verses and share when the need arose. She enjoyed browsing thrift shops and yard sales. Being an avid reader, she frequently purchased books on these adventures. She had a keen interest in history and geneology. She was the keeper of the family tree. She adored her grandchildren. Linda is survived by her son Stewart Mason and her grandchildren Larkin, Harvey and Nikole. She leaves behind her siblings: Patricia Cooper (Fred), Roger Smith, and Gardner Smith (Bonita) and well as numerous nieces and nephews. She also is survived by her feline friend Tabitha. There will be a private graveside service in the spring. Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert M King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville. Stewart wished to share Linda's parting words, "It's in God's hands now."
