I am so very sorry for our loss.
I have known Ryan since her United Way and Special Olympics days; and most recently worked with Ryan at Shaw's in Middlebury. In fact, Ryan and I laughed often about how we first met years earlier. I was the cashier who rang the items of this young woman who was purchasing alcohol; as a responsible employee, I asked for the young woman's identification to validly purchase alcohol - that young woman was Ryan. Ryan was clearly old enough to make the purchase and she was thrilled that I had "carded" her.
I realize this probably sounds corny to say; to truly know Ryan is to love her. Her life and untimely death have made an impact that is indescribable; we are all better individuals for having known Ryan.
