Carolyn R. Carlton Whitehall, NY – Carolyn Carlton, age 78, passed away at Slate Valley Center for Rehab and Nursing in North Granville. Carolyn was born on September 7, 1942 in Granville the daughter of Harold and Rita (Morse) Knapp. Carolyn was a nurse at Glens Falls Hospital for a number of years until she decided to do home health care. She was a warm, kind, and happy person. She loved helping others and bringing a smile to their faces. The fact that she loved singing and dancing was proof of her positive outlook and joyful attitude. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She always enjoyed playing Bingo and was delighted to discover this was an activity at Slate Valley which she could continue. During the COVID-19 quarantine, when many fellow patients were without family, she made it her mission to not let anyone feel alone. Honoring her father's military service, Carolyn was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Castleton, VT. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother Carl Knapp. She is survived by her five children: Linda Marie Wetherby, Tony Wetherby, Stacy Hensley, Melissa Wetherby, and David Wetherby. She was blessed with nine grandchildren: Anthony Wetherby, Jr, Benjamin, Jeremiah and Jessica Wetherby, Kayla and Dillon Stevens, Hannah, and Mason Wetherby and two great grandchildren: Kiera and Riley Wetherby and one more on the way.
